*Because the Romance Community Stands Up
We are appalled (though sadly not surprised) by the aggressive, violent, and deadly actions of ICE, at the behest of the Trump administration, in Minnesota and other areas of the US.
We know that reading is political, and Romance always has been. By centering the voices, stories, and JOY of those pushed aside by the accepted mainstream narrative, Romance stands for something more—and we’re going to embrace that nature now and stand up for those currently being affected in Minnesota.
Donate to The Immigrant Rapid Response Fund and enter a giveaway of bookish prizes with Romance for Minnesota. Prizes will be shared on Instagram @romanceforminnesota, and winners will be randomly drawn and notified on Sunday, February 1st.

- Make a donation to the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund by the end of the day on Saturday, January 31st.
- Fill out this form and let us know how much you donated. (Note that IRRF does NOT send email confirmations, so take a screenshot or photo of the confirmation page on their website.)
- Winners will be randomly drawn on Sunday, February 1st. We’ll contact you by email (from the romanceforminnesota@gmail.com email address) to let you know you’ve won, and we’ll send your relevant contact information to the donor of your prize.2
- If you win something, your contact information will be shared only with the person who donated your prize so they can send it to you.3

We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed with your generosity and the number of donations we’ve received from authors, influencers, and bookish folks, so we’re cutting off donations of prizes at this time. If you have already donated, we will be in communication with you.
Our primary goal is to transfer the generosity of prize donations to our fundraising for the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund!

About the Immigrant Rapid Response Fund
The Immigrant Rapid Response Fund (IRRF), part of the Women’s Foundation of Minnesota, is a coalition of philanthropic leaders rooted in communities most impacted by immigration-related harm. IRRF ensures that resources move quickly, responsibly, and with community accountability to trusted organizations responding to immigration-related emergencies across Minnesota.
As enforcement actions, policy changes, and sudden disruptions continue to impact immigrant and refugee families, IRRF provides rapid, community-informed funding to organizations on the frontlines of response, care, and protection.

Fine Print
Limit one entry per person. Larger donation amounts do not earn more entries. Must be 18 years or older to participate. Participants agree to the rules and release Romance for Minnesota of liability.

- Privacy information: Your name, and email and shipping addresses will be stored in a Google spreadsheet for the duration of the fundraiser. On February 1st, relevant contact information of winners will be shared with the donor providing the prize. After prizes are drawn, the list of entrants will be deleted.
